Iran’s Mazandaran Province’s Citrus Fruits Highly Welcomed in Oman

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official at Oman's Ministry of Agriculture said citrus fruits produced in Iran’s Mazandaran province have been highly welcomed by the people of the Atab country.

In a meeting with a visiting trade and economic delegation from Mazandaran province, Oman’s Vice Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Ahmed Al-Bakri expressed his country's readiness to import more citrus fruits, kiwi fruit, rice and fisheries products from Mazandaran.

The citrus fruits and kiwi fruits and other agricultural products produced in this northern province of Iran have no competitors in the markets of Oman and are highly welcomed by consumers in the country, the vice minister added.

Oman's private sector is ready to dispatch a trade and economic delegation to Mazandaran province for the conclusion of a contract in this respect, he stated.

According to the statistics, three million tons of high-quality citrus fruits are produced in this Iranian province annually, 36,000 tons of which have so far been exported overseas this year.
