Iran’s export of commodities to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from March 21 to November 22, 2023 registered a 20 percent hike compared to last year’s corresponding period, the spokesman of the Trade Promotion and International Relations Commission of Iran’s House of Industry, Mine and Trade stated.
According to the statistics, more than five million tons of goods, valued at over $2 billion, were exchanged between Iran and the five EAEU member states in the first eight months of the year, showing a 33.5 and a 14 percent growth in weight and value respectively compared to the same period last year, Rouhollah Latifi maintained.
Iran exported more than two million tons of goods, valued at over $1 billion, to the EAEU’s member states, indicating a 45 and a 20 percent growth in weight and value respectively compared to last year’s corresponding period, he added.
In return, Iran imported more than two million tons of non-oil goods, valued at over $1 billion, from the member states of the union, showing a 22 and a 10 percent hike in weight and value respectively.
Russia imported more than one million tons of goods, valued at over $616 million, from Iran between March 21 and November 22, 2023, Latifi continued.
