China Condemns Kerman Blasts, Extends Condolences to Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed shock and offered condolences to Iran following the deadly explosions in Kerman City, reiterating its support for Iran’s endeavors to protect its national security and stability.
Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin conveyed China's “condolences” and “sincere sympathy” to the victims' families and the injured during a press briefing, according to CGTN news agency.
He also emphasized China's strong opposition to all manifestations of terrorism.
The act of terrorism claimed 94 lives in Wednesday's tragic blasts, according to the Emergency Medical Services.
Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said that 220 people were still in hospitals, acknowledging that some people were in critical condition.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the terror act.
