Palestinian Resistance Launches 'Massive Salvo' of Projectiles into Israeli Occupied Territories

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas launched a formidable attack, firing a massive salvo of projectiles into Israeli occupied territories.

Local officials report over 50 rockets simultaneously fired from Gaza into Netivot, occupied Palestine.

Videos on social media depict the attack, with the Iron Dome intercepting less than half of the rockets.

Despite Israel's active 102-day air-and-ground campaign of genocidal war, the resistance movement managed to unleash a significant salvo.

In a separate incident, the Qassam Brigades announced targeting an Israeli armored personnel carrier in Gaza City with a Yassin-105 antitank weapon.

Clashes with an Israeli infantry force in Tal al-Hawa resulted in casualties among soldiers. The Yassin rocket launcher, deployed in 2004, is named after Hamas’s late spiritual leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin.

Defense analyst Hamze Attar interpreted the rocket salvo as a direct response to Israeli claims of destroying Hamas’s rocket capabilities. “They sent a very firm message,” Attar told Al Jazeera.

“If destroying the neighborhoods of northern Gaza was the mission, then mission accomplished. But destroying Hamas’s military capabilities – I don’t think so. That will take years, not three months. We’ve seen that Israeli forces didn’t have a nice, easy picnic in Gaza. That was a very tough mission, and Israel didn’t achieve much.

“It’s impossible to clear an ideology that easily. Hamas is an idea, part of the resistance. As long as the Israeli occupation continues, there will be Amaz,” he said.

In Gaza, the Health Ministry reported over 350,000 chronically ill patients deprived of medications due to the ongoing Israeli war. Spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra urged international aid organizations to urgently provide medications, citing depleted supplies in operating rooms and severe shortages of essential medical resources.

Palestinian and international health organizations warn of a total collapse of Gaza's healthcare system due to the continued Israeli war.
