Official Stresses Promoting Iran-Spain Trade, Industrial Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The chairman of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) for industries and mines in a meeting with the chairman of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce emphasized promoting bilateral relations in the fields of trade and industry.

During a visit to Spain, Hervik Yarijanian held talks with Chairman of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce Maria Jose Gomez and the representative of Catalonia International Exhibitions in Iran.

During the meeting, Yarijanian invited Spanish industrialists and entrepreneurs to make investments in Iran’s industrial and trade sectors in line with strengthening the bilateral relations.

He pointed to the competitive capability of Iran's export products compared to the products of the regional and extra-regional rivals and added that Iranian products have an advantage both in terms of quality and quantity.

Yarijanian invited the chairman of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce to visit Iran to continue trade talks and added that the trade and economic delegations of the two sides could fin opportunities for making joint investments. 

Iran’s economy has high potential in many areas which can be significant for any investor, he said, adding that Iran has abundant and unique investment opportunities in the fields of mine, tourism, transportation and transit and intermediate industries.

Due to its location in the region which connects Asia, Europe and Africa, Iran has one of the unique trade corridors, Yarijanian noted, expressing hope that his visit will be an introduction to the expansion and development of trade-economic ties between Iran and Spain.
