Tehran, Moscow Ink Health Cooperation Agreement
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A preliminary document on comprehensive cooperation in the health sector was signed between Iran and Russia in Tehran.
The cooperation deal was signed at the conclusion of the 17th Iran-Russia Joint Cooperation Commission in Tehran.
The document has been formulated after several rounds of technical talks between the health ministries of the two countries.
The preliminary agreement will pave the way for close interaction between Iran and Russia in various fields, including the joint production of medical equipment and medicines, health researches, modern and digital technologies, medical education, academic cooperation, training the health experts, and management of the communicable and non-communicable diseases, IRNA reported.
The head of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration (IFDA) had already highlighted Tehran’s resolve to promote cooperation with Russia and facilitate the export of medicine and medical equipment.
