Ramadan Great Opportunity for Muslim Unity against Israel: Iran’s FM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign minister of Iran said the holy Muslim month of Ramadan has provided a perfect opportunity for Islamic unity and solidarity to stop the Zionist regime’s genocidal crimes in Gaza.
“I sincerely congratulate the honorable nation of Iran, all the Muslims of the world, and my counterparts in Muslim countries on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan,” Amirabdollahian said in a post on his X account on Monday night.
“The developments in Gaza showed that the issue of Palestine is the common cause of Muslims and is at the top of the priorities of the Muslim world,” he added.
“The holy month of Ramadan can provide an excellent opportunity for Islamic countries to retake the initiative effectively to stop the genocide and war crimes of the apartheid Zionist regime in Gaza in the light of their full unity and convergence,” Amirabdollahian noted, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
“The resistance and the Palestinian people are the main winners,” he stated.
At least 31,045 Palestinians have been killed and 72,654 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
