Iran to Send 11 Boxers to Duisenkul Shopokov Memorial Tournament
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A total of 11 boxers will represent Iran at the Duisenkul Shopokov Memorial Tournament.
The tournament will be held for elite boxers in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek on April 17-22.
The event was named after Duisenkul Shopokov, the Kyrgyz hero of the Soviet Union who died during the Great Patriotic War at the Battle of Moscow in December 1941.
The new Duisenkul Shopokov Memorial Tournament will serve as a preparation event for the 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event.
