Era of Hit-And-Run Over, Iranian General Reminds Israel

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s recent retaliatory operation against Israel revealed how weak the Zionist regime’s defense power really is, the Iranian Army Ground Force commander said, warning Tel Aviv that none of its hostile moves against Iran will go unpunished.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari said the ‘Operation True Promise’ that the armed forces carried out in retaliation for the Israeli airstrike on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus was done at the request of the Iranian nation.

He said the retaliatory operation proved that the Zionist regime’s defense arrangements are weaker than a spider’s cobweb.

The Iranian armed forces broke the taboo about the Israeli regime’s capabilities, demonstrated their might, made it clear that the era of hit-and-run is over, and defined new rules for the region, the commander stated.

He further pointed to the Army Ground Force’s advances in the development of modern military gear, saying artificial intelligence has been integrated into the homegrown weaponry as the military helicopters have been equipped with a broad range of AI-powered missiles, radars and weapons.

The Ground Forces is going to employ new smart weapons with long range of engagement, pinpoint accuracy, and networkability, he added.

Pointing to the constant presence of Army Ground Force brigades along the Iranian borders, the commander said his troops ensure sustainable security at the frontiers by utilizing smart equipment.

The Iranian Army units are going to hold massive military parades across the country on Wednesday to celebrate the National Army Day.

In a meeting with a group of top military commanders in 2023, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called on the Iranian Armed Forces to keep enhancing their preparedness in all areas and not cease making progress because the threats of the enemies will never fade away.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, stressed that military preparedness will act as deterrence against the enemies, calling for vigilance in the face of the elements masterminding plots.
