Islamic Resistance in Iraq Strikes Israeli Port

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced a drone attack on Israeli positions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for a new strike on Israeli positions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a statement published on its Telegram channel, the group reported it targeted a "vital" site in the Port of Eilat on Friday evening.

The resistance movement stated that the drone attack was in retaliation for massacres committed by Israel against Palestinian civilians.

The group vowed to continue its operations against Israeli targets.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has conducted numerous attacks on Israeli targets since the onset of the war on Gaza in early October.

Additionally, it has attacked American military bases in Iraq and neighboring Syria, citing Washington's support for Israel's actions in Gaza as the reason.

Israel began its offensive against the Gaza Strip on October 7, following a surprise attack by Palestinian resistance movements.

The Israeli war has resulted in the deaths of at least 35,800 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and injuries to another 80,200 people.

More than 1.7 million people have been displaced within Gaza during the ongoing conflict.
