Iran, UAE Coordinate Efforts to End Gaza War

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Senior Iranian and Emirati diplomats weighed plans for concerted action to end the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip and provide humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people.

In a telephone conversation on Saturday night, Caretaker Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Baqeri and the UAE’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan discussed the issues of mutual interests and the latest developments in Gaza.

Denouncing the Israeli regime’s savage crimes against Gaza and other parts of Palestine, the Iranian caretaker minister urged that Muslim states should use all available means to put an immediate end to the Zionist regime’s genocide in Gaza and help the oppressed people in the region.

For his part, the Emirati minister referred to a recent meeting in Jordan on Palestine, stressing the need to deliver humanitarian aids to Gaza and take effective measures to stop the Zionist regime’s raids.

“The UAE is doing its best to stop the war and send humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza,” he noted, calling the move “our humanitarian task.”

At least 37,296 people have been killed and 85,197 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
