Caretaker Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Baqeri on Monday held a telephone conversation with Mohammed Abdulsalam, the chief negotiator of Yemen's National Salvation Government.
Denouncing the Zionist regime’s recent act of aggression against civilian facilities in Yemen’s Hudaydah port, Baqeri expressed Iran’s solidarity with the Yemeni people and resistance against the Israeli crimes.
The Iranian diplomat also hailed the exemplary resistance shown by the people of Gaza, the initiative of the resistant leadership and people in Yemen to accompany and support Palestinians against the Israeli crimes, and the Operation True Promise carried out by Iran as the three influential events that have led to the Zionist regime’s strategic failure during the past nine months.
The fact that the resistant Yemeni leadership, fighters and nation are standing by the oppressed Palestinian people is a historic achievement and a source of pride for the greater Muslim nation, he added, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
For his part, Abdulsalam thanked Iran and appreciated its message of solidarity with the Yemeni people and resistance against the Zionist regime’s recent invasion of Yemen and targeting non-military facilities, which led to the martyrdom and injury of civilians.
He said the Israeli raid indicates the Zionists’ helplessness and desperate failure.
The Yemeni official noted that the Palestinian issue is a matter that concerns all Muslim nations.
He also hailed Iran's stances in support of Palestinians as well as its political and spiritual support for Yemen in various fields, including in the joint fight against the Zionists.
