Iran-Oman Cooperation Beneficial for Region: Araqchi

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi called for the promotion of cooperation with Oman, saying constant consultations between the two neighbors will serve the mutual and regional interests.

In a telephone conversation on Monday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi congratulated his Iranian counterpart on taking office.

Highlighting the Omani Sultan’s push for the enhancement of relations with Iran, Al Busaidi voiced readiness for close interaction with Araqchi on the implementation of the previous agreements between the two nations.

Muscat supports the continuation of political consultations with Tehran, the Omani minister added.

For his part, Araqchi voiced Iran’s reciprocal readiness for close cooperation with Oman on various bilateral, regional and international issues.

Pointing to the increasing challenges in the West Asia region, the Iranian foreign minister stated that constant cooperation and consultations between Iran and Oman will serve their mutual interests and contribute to the settlement of regional problems.
