Iran Condemns Israeli Attacks on Syria

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s military aggression against Syria.

In a statement on Monday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei called for serious action at the regional and international levels to stop the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression and hold Israel accountable.

Lashing out at the Israeli regime for the continuous genocidal crimes in Gaza, the massive strikes on Lebanon, and the recurrent military aggression against Syria, he said the persistence of the current situation and the UN Security Council’s inaction on the Zionist regime’s belligerence would seriously violate regional peace and stability and have serious consequences for international peace and security.

The Iranian spokesman denounced Israel’s unabated aggression against Islamic and Arab countries as a sign of the regime’s inherent bellicosity and expansionism.

Baqaei also reminded the US and other Western sponsors of Israel of their responsibility for the Zionist regime’s international crimes and actions that contravene international laws.
