Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who has traveled to Qatar to attend the Doha Forum 2024, met with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Saturday.
The two officials discussed the latest developments in Syria, which has been gripped by a wave of armed militancy.
They also talked about the relations between Iran and Qatar, the Israeli regime’s genocidal crimes in Gaza, and the situation in Lebanon following a recent ceasefire.
In a separate meeting in Doha, Araqchi held talks with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
Syria’s developments were the main topic of talks between the two senior diplomats.
