Society/Culture

On the verge of the fifth anniversary of the assassination of Iran's anti-terrorism commander Major General Qassem Soleimani (former commander of the IRGC Quds force who was martyred in a US drone attack in Baghdad in January 2020) and the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Kerman Martyrs Cemetery, a ceremony will be held to commemorate the victims of terrorism and unveil an updated version of the Encyclopedia of Iranian Terror Victims.

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, January 1st, in the presence of Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with the families of victims of terrorism and diplomats killed in terrorist attacks, as well as ambassadors and representatives from foreign countries.

The event will be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Institute for Political and International Studies.

The Encyclopedia of Iranian Terror Victims, first published in 2011 by Habilian Association, has now been updated after more than a decade and will be unveiled at the ceremony.
