President Orders Probe of Assassination of Iranian Justices
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on Saturday for a probe into the assassination of two judges at the Supreme Court of Iran.
The two clerics, Ali Razini and Mohammad Moqiseh, were shot dead by a gunman at the Supreme Court in Tehran on Saturday morning.
Pezeshkian issued a message Saturday evening, extending his condolences to the families of the deceased and the Iranian nation.
He also called for a swift investigation by the police and security forces to identify the perpetrators behind the assassination.
Pezeshkian described the attack as inhumane, saying the two judges spent their lives countering different crimes against national security and defending people’s rights.
Their path will certainly continue, and no disruption will affect the process of upholding justice in the Islamic country, the president added, his official website reported.
