IRGC Unveils Portable Air Defense Missile
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Force unveiled a new air defense missile fired from trucks.
The IRGC has launched a new stage of the “Payambar-e Azam (The Great Prophet) 19 ” war game in Iran’s southwestern regions since Monday.
A series of homegrown arms have been unveiled during the drill, including the ‘Qaem-118’ air defense missiles.
The firing unit of the missile, carried by a truck, is equipped with five launchers.
The air defense missile has a range of 25 kilometers and is guided either by radars or electro-optical and thermal methods.
The fire control radar of the missile system can be connected to several launcher units to hit more targets.
