Iran Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Resistance: Quds Force Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran remains steadfast in backing Palestinian resistance forces and military operations, including The True Promise, a senior Iranian commander said on Wednesday, underscoring Tehran’s commitment to the Palestinian cause.

General Esmaeil Qa’ani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), made the remarks during the "Manbar al-Quds" program, an event featuring speeches by various resistance leaders in honor of International Quds Day.

Qa’ani hailed Hamas’ 2023 Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, describing it "a combination of battlefield resistance and popular resistance." He said the operation introduced "a new phenomenon of unity among resistance fronts," demonstrating their strength and solidarity.

Reaffirming Iran’s unwavering support, Qa’ani emphasized that this commitment would persist "until the ultimate goal of liberating Al-Quds is achieved."

‘Al-Aqsa Flood Was a Turning Point’

Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya described the current phase as unprecedented in Palestinian history. He said Operation Al-Aqsa Flood had irreversibly reshaped the Palestinian struggle, showcasing the Resistance’s ability to take the initiative and launch attacks while exposing Zionist entity’s security and military vulnerabilities.

Despite months of intense relentless killing, terrorism, and destruction, backed by Washington’s full support, Israel had failed to break the will of the Palestinian people, he said.

Hayya stated that Al-Aqsa Flood was launched to counter Israeli regime’s efforts to solidify control over Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa as part of a broader strategy of domination. He asserted that the operation had demonstrated Israel as "the prime adversary of the Muslim world."

The ongoing struggle, he said, had fostered a new regional power dynamic, uniting fighters from Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran against Israeli occupation.

Hayya also called on the Arab and Islamic world to take a firm stance, urging them to break their silence and oppose Israel’s expansionist agenda. "It is the duty of the entire Muslim Ummah to defend Al-Aqsa and support the people of Gaza and Palestine," he said.

He warned that any compromise on even a fraction of Al-Aqsa would amount to a betrayal of faith, the nation, and the sacrifices of the martyrs. He added that the liberation of Al-Quds was not just a political objective but "a historical and religious certainty."

‘Al-Quds Unifies Muslims’

Ziad al-Nakhalah, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, described Al-Quds as a powerful symbol of unity among Muslims.

"Our people have shown resilience and have not wavered in the face of global conspiracies. Al-Quds has always been our greatest weapon," he said.

Nakhalah honored the martyrs of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, stating that they had fought with "unparalleled courage" and remained steadfast in their commitment to resistance.

“Despite the sacrifices, the bond of unity within the Resistance in the region will never be broken. The Palestinian people will stand firm on their land and will accept nothing less than their rightful soil.” he added.

‘US Seeks to Erase Palestinian Cause’

Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, said the United States is attempting to dismantle the Palestinian cause through its support for Israel. But the faithful will not allow this to happen, the Hezbollah leader stated.

"Palestine has been under occupation for over 75 years, yet Israel has failed to erase Palestinian identity," he said.

He described Operation Al-Aqsa Flood as a strategic move "to change the equation," asserting that the Palestinian cause remains a global beacon of truth in the world and not to be extinguished.

Sheikh Qassem said that Israel’s crimes had exposed its true nature, stating that "the Zionist regime is facing an existential crisis and cannot secure its presence through occupation."

Sheikh Qassem praised the Palestinian people’s resilience despite the martyrdom of over 50,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 100,000 others in Gaza.

The Lebanese resistance leader also touched on Washington’s displacement plan for Gaza, describing it as “extremely dangerous.”

"This plan aims to end the Palestinian cause, displace its people, and extend control over Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Jordan," he said, warning that resistance would continue to counter these efforts.

“We firmly believe that victory belongs to the faithful.”

Houthi: Cooperation with US Betrays Muslim Ummah

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, also warned that Israel’s ongoing aggression, backed by the United States, is aimed at dismantling the Palestinian cause.

“The Israeli enemy’s actions, mass killings, destruction of infrastructure, starvation, and thirst, clearly reveal their attempt to forcibly displace the Palestinian people.”

Houthi called on Arab nations to take a “bold, historic stand” to prevent the displacement of the Palestinians and resist normalization with Israel.

He said such displacement can only succeed with the complicity of certain Arab countries.

“If the Israeli enemy succeeds in displacing the Palestinian people, the next target will be Palestine’s neighboring countries and the wider Arab world.”

The Ansarullah leader urged all Muslims to stand up firm against Israeli expansionism and to reject psychological defeat and despair.

Despite the US attacks, Yemen will not back down and will continue its operations in support of the Palestinian people, Houthi said.
