Iran Learns Fate in FIBA Asia Cup 2025

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The draw for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, set to be held in Saudi Arabia in August, took place on April 8, Tuesday and Iran discovered its rivals in the tournament.

Team Melli has been drawn in Group B along with Guam, Japan, and Syria.

Group A consists of Qatar, Australia, Korea, and Lebanon. China, Jordan, India, and Saudi Arabia are in Group C and Group D included Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, Iraq, and the Philippines.

During the Group Phase, the teams will play against each other in a single-round robin format. The first-placed teams of each group will qualify directly to the Quarter-Finals. The second- and third-placed teams in each group will play in a Qualification to Quarter-Finals round.

The Final Phase of the competition will proceed from the Quarter-Finals onwards with a single-elimination format in place.
