Iran, Bahrain Urge Muslim Unity to Foil Divisive Plots

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian president and the king of Bahrain stressed the need for Muslim unity and cooperation among regional countries to thwart the divisive plots hatched by the enemies of Islam.

In a telephone conversation on Saturday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Islamic festival of sacrifice.

They also emphasized the importance of leveraging the teachings and unity fostered by the Hajj pilgrimage to enhance solidarity, interaction, and brotherhood among the Islamic nations.

They further expressed wishes for health, security, welfare, and progress for the Iranian and Bahraini peoples, as well as for the entire Islamic Ummah.

Pezeshkian and Al Khalifa also underscored the necessity for the Muslim countries to uphold unity and collaborate in order to counter the malicious plots of the adversaries.
