Rumors of Loss of Iranian Army Commanders Denied

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The rumors about the martyrdom of Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh and the commanders of the Army units in the Israeli strikes were proved false.

The Israeli regime attacked a number of residential buildings in the Iranian capital in the early hours of Friday.

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, and at least six Iranian nuclear scientists have been martyred in the strikes.

A number of hostile media outlets ran stories afterwards, alleging that IRGC Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Iranian Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, and the commanders of the four divisions of the Army have been martyred in the attacks.

As the rumor proved false shortly after the stories were published, reports came out that those commanders are unharmed and working on a retaliatory military strike against the Zionist regime.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has warned the Zionist regime that it will receive a severe punishment for the strike, saying, “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see.”
