President Urges Collaborative Solutions to Challenges in Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called for the active participation of citizens, specialists, and academics in addressing the country’s challenges, stressing that collective efforts are essential to overcoming crises.

Speaking at the 113th meeting of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Tehran on Thursday, the president pointed to the difficulties faced during his tenure and underlined the need to go beyond partisan views, focusing on resolving problems instead of merely changing officials.

Pezeshkian emphasized that true health is not limited to medical treatment but also includes tackling unemployment, supporting the underprivileged, and improving living standards in deprived areas. He urged that local physicians be empowered to address social concerns such as joblessness and malnutrition, noting their competence to bring about meaningful change.

The president further highlighted the importance of managing consumption to prevent resource shortages, stressing that Iran’s problem lies not in a lack of budget but in excessive use of resources. He called for a shift in management practices and for wider community engagement through grassroots initiatives, his official website reported.

Pezeshkian also criticized the unfair distribution of resources, which he said has fueled public dissatisfaction. He warned against reckless exploitation of natural wealth, urging Iranians to consider the long-term consequences for the nation’s climate and future generations.

He maintained that effective governance depends on the fair implementation of existing laws rather than drafting new ones. The president said his administration is pursuing neighborhood- and school-centered projects, believing their success would strengthen national resilience against external pressures.

On education, Pezeshkian stressed the need to reform curricula so that students are encouraged to focus on solving the country’s challenges rather than seeking migration.

Referring to Iranians’ steadfastness during the recent 12-day war imposed by the Zionist regime, he said the people endured hardships but stood firm against the enemy out of devotion to their homeland.
