Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a meeting on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on Monday.
Pezeshkian underlined the vital responsibility of leading Muslim countries, especially Saudi Arabia, in reinforcing Islamic unity.
He said that if the Muslim nations act with one voice, the Zionist regime would not dare to attack any Islamic country.
Expressing satisfaction with the improving ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the president stressed that deepened cooperation will benefit the interests of the entire Muslim world.
He also reiterated Iran’s readiness to expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia on both regional and international levels, emphasizing the necessity of collective efforts to support the Palestinian cause and counter Israeli aggression.
Bin Salman, for his part, welcomed the strengthening of relations among major Muslim powers, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. He underscored the importance of empowering the Islamic Ummah to protect its sovereignty and dignity in the face of Israeli crimes.
The Saudi crown prince further stressed that addressing the critical situation in Palestine and Gaza requires enhanced cooperation and unity among Islamic countries, describing solidarity as an essential requirement rather than a mere option.
