Hamas said on Saturday that the UN’s record of more than 260 attacks by extremist Israeli settlers on Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank in October alone — and nearly 1,500 since the start of the year — is clear evidence of a deliberate, state-backed campaign of systematic terror and torture.
Hamas said this violent policy by the Israeli regime seeks to uproot Palestinians from their land and impose a colonial, racist reality of domination and intimidation across the occupied territories.
The statement condemned the repeated and deliberate targeting of Palestinian farmlands during the olive harvest season as part of an orchestrated effort to pressure farmers, expand illegal settlements, and tighten the regime’s grip over the West Bank.
Hamas called on the international community, the United Nations, and all relevant bodies to fulfill their legal and moral obligations by condemning these crimes and pressuring the Israeli regime to end settler terrorism and its organized assaults on the Palestinian people.
The movement also demanded that leaders of the Israeli regime be prosecuted before international courts for their ongoing crimes against the Palestinian nation, its land, and its sacred sites.
