Iran’s ambassadors to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan, along with the country’s consuls general in Astrakhan and Aktau --present in Rasht for the first summit of Governors of the Caspian Littoral Provinces-- held a working session on Tuesday with Foreign Minister Araqchi.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations with the Caspian littoral states and recent developments in the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Araqchi outlined key foreign policy priorities, emphasizing the need to tap into the significant economic and trade potential of Iran’s northern provinces and surrounding regions.
He also stressed the Foreign Ministry’s role in facilitating external economic engagement and called for stronger coordination between ambassadors and provincial institutions --particularly economic bodies, chambers of commerce, and free trade zones-- to advance cooperation with Caspian partners.
Envoys in attendance shared assessments and proposals aimed at expanding Iran’s comprehensive relations with its northern neighbors, especially in trade and economic sectors.
