As a MiG-29 fighter jet belonging to the Air Force flew over capital Tehran on Wednesday morning, its sound was heard in several parts of the city.
An informed source in the Army told Tasnim that the flight was part of the inherent and surveillance duties of the Air Force, and the warplane was carrying out its assigned mission, including reconnaissance.
The Air Force later issued a statement confirming Tasnim’s report, announcing that the flight --alongside the flights of other fighter jets-- was a routine and long-standing measure conducted to maintain sustainable security in Iran’s airspace and will continue in the future.
