Following riots in Tehran and some other cities by elements affiliated with the US and Israel, the IRGC Intelligence Organization issued a statement on Friday, saying intelligence monitoring shows that the enemy has changed its strategy against Iran from military attack to creating chaos and disrupting the country’s security and order.
Following its failure in the aggression against the Islamic Republic, the US regime has designed a purposeful and multi-stage plan guided by foreign intelligence services and implemented with organized terrorist forces in the field, the statement said.
Pointing to the recent protests against instability in the market, the statement noted that the enemy has sought to turn the protests into armed riots.
The IRGC Intelligence Organization said the blatant interventionist remarks by the US president and Zionist regime officials in support of the rioters, the activation of terrorist groups, and the military moves by the enemy outside Iran’s borders, have given a new direction to the violence-seeking gatherings.
Referring to attacks on military bases and martyrdom of a number of citizens and security forces during the riots, the statement warned that the continuation of such a situation is unacceptable.
Those plotting these terrorist incidents are responsible for the shedding of the blood of people in these riots, it emphasized.
The IRGC Intelligence Organization said it considers safeguarding the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and protecting the society’s security as its red line and will stand by the Iranian nation until the complete defeat of the enemy plot and establishment of security for the citizens.
