Araqchi, who is in Beirut, Lebanon, on official visit, made the remark in response to a Lebanese reporter’s question about the recent developments in Iran.
He said what has been happening in the streets of some cities in Iran is somehow similar to the protests that took place in Lebanon in 2023 against rising prices.
There is one difference regarding the developments in Iran, though, he stated, noting that both the US and Israel have officially announced that they are involved and play a role in the seditions and try to turn peaceful protests into riots.
Violent rioters favoring monarchy vandalized public and private properties in a number of cities across Iran on Thursday night, killing some ordinary people and security forces and inflicting injuries on others.
The violent unrest that erupted in a number of Iranian cities caused damages to government buildings, private shops, and even mosques.
The rioters backing monarchy vandalized public properties, blocked streets, attacked the administrative buildings and Police stations, and injured a number of security and law enforcement forces.
Asked whether the US and Israel plan military adventurism against Iran again, Araqchi said a military intervention is very unlikely because a previous experience has faced defeat.
He was referring to the Israeli and US aggression against Iran in June last year that faced a heroic and deceive response from the Iranian armed forces.
