In a televised interview on Sunday, Pezeshkian highlighted his administration’s determination to resolve the problems that the livelihood of people has faced.
He said the administration is resolved to treat all Iranian people on the basis of justice and ensure an even distribution of subsidies, regardless of their gender, race or ethnicity.
The cabinet has heard the voices of complaint from business people and bazaar after their protests, he said, adding that the protestors have been asked to attend the administration meetings and express their concerns.
“We have made our decision to resolve their problems with every possible approach… That is why we are holding talks with them on a daily basis,” Pezeshkian added.
“We consider the protests of people rightful,” the president stated, stressing that his administration is duty bound to talk to people. “We would never disregard the ones expressing legitimate concerns.”
He noted that the enemy, which failed to steer the country into chaos during the 12-day war in June 2025, is now seeking to take advantage of the economic problems to aggravate the situation.
Pezeshkian called on people, guilds, industry owners and economic activists to help his administration eradicate corruption.
Describing protests as the right of people, Pezeshkian warned that riots, attacks on public properties, arson attacks on mosques, and burning Quran are part of the plots hatched by the US and the Israeli regime, which he said have committed the most heinous crimes in the world.
Even the European countries that are opposed to the Islamic Republic cannot defend the brutalities unfolding in Gaza, Palestine and Lebanon, he said.
Pezeshkian said the enemies have trained a series of elements inside and outside Iran, and have deployed a number of terrorists from abroad into Iran to launch arson attacks on mosques, to set the shops of bazaar ablaze, and to kill people.
The rioters have killed a number of people with guns, they have decapitated a number of people, and have even burnt some individuals, he stated.
Of course these criminals are not ordinary people and are not from Iran, the president said.
Pointing to the enemies’ plans to pressurize Iran by creating division, chaos and riots, he said the measures that stoke hatred, such as burning Quran, ate totally unacceptable by the Iranian civilization.
The president then promised that his cabinet is trying to resolve problems and that Iran will weather the situation and address imbalances despite all problems.
Pezeshkian called on people to gather in every neighborhood to prevent the rioters from committing crimes. “They seek to bring Iran into its knees through riots and economic pressures,” he warned.
The president also called on people to attend pro-establishment rallies on Monday to vent their anger at the violent riots.
The Iranian security and defense systems must act decisively against the rioters that kill people and launch arson attacks, the president underlined.
