Iran’s Zob Ahan Signs Jerry Bengtson

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian football club Zob Ahan of Isfahan completed the signing of Honduran striker Jerry Bengtson on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old striker has joined Zob Ahan on a one-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Bengtson was a member of Persepolis football team last season but the Iranian team didn’t renew his contract at the end of the season.

He made his debut in the final 20 minutes of Persepolis' match against Sepahan. He scored his first goal for Persepolis on 25 September 2015 against Tractor Sazi. Bengtson scored a goal in a 1–1 draw against important rival Esteghlal in the Tehran derby in stoppage time.

The Honduran international player had been also linked with a move to Naft Tehran.
