Iran Wins World U-16 Chess Olympiad 2016
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran claimed the title of the World Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad 2016 on Friday.
The Iranian team defeated Romania 2.5-1.5 in its final match.
The competition took place in Poprad, a city in northern Slovakia.
The tournament provided a great platform for junior chess players.
The Chess Olympiad is organized by the NR Klub delegated by the Slovak Chess Federation, which started with an opening ceremony on July 27.
