Russia Says West Not Coping with Obligations on Syria

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday that Western countries were not coping with their obligations on Syria.

Lavrov also said the United States wanted to put forward additional conditions before implementing a deal on Syria and that Russia would demand a very thorough investigation into a strike on an aid convoy in Syria, Reuters reported.

A weeklong ceasefire agreed between the United States and Russia ended last Monday and efforts to revive the truce failed.

Last Saturday, US-led coalition jets bombed Syrian government forces’ positions near the eastern city of Deir ez-Zor, killing 62 troops and "paving the way" for Daesh terrorists.
