Iran Enjoying Unmatched Security in Region: Shamkhani
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani underlined that, thanks to the Islamic Establishment, the security level in the country is unmatched in the restive Middle East region.
“Today, thanks to the sacred Islamic Establishment, … the martyrs, and the prudent leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, our country is enjoying an unparalleled security situation in a chaotic region,” Shamkhani said.
The official made the remarks in a Thursday meeting with senior cleric Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi during his visit to the holy city of Qom.
He further emphasized that the Islamic Republic has adopted a strategy that has enabled it to create security within and beyond the borders.
Elsewhere, Shamkhani warned that the global arrogance has been sowing discord among Muslim nations to divert attention from Israel’s crimes.
“Hegemonic powers are making attempts to create divisions in the Muslim world to distract the public opinion from the main enemy that is the Zionist regime,” he stressed.
During his visit to Qom, Shamkhani also held separate meetings with other senior clerics, including Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi-Golpayegani and Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani.
