FIVB World Cup: Iran Beaten by Egypt

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Egypt defeated Iran 3-1 (22-25, 26-24, 25-18, 26-24) at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Men's World Cup on Wednesday.

Iran’s Porya Yali had 22 points in this match and Ahmed Abdelhay led Egypt with 21 points.

Iran, who lost to Russia 3-1 in its first match on Tuesday, will face Canada on Friday.

The 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup features 12 national teams from the five continental confederations playing in Nagano, Fukuoka and Hiroshima in a round-robin format from October 1 to 15.

The Men's World Cup kicked off for five match days in Fukuoka and Nagano before teams move to Hiroshima for the remaining six match days.
