Iran Invites Domestic, Foreign Investors to Develop Transportation, Transit Industry: Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s deputy minister of roads and urban development said the ministry invites both domestic and foreign investors and knowledge-based and startup companies to invest in the development of the country’s transportation and transit sectors.

Speaking ahead of the 7th edition of the Iran International Exhibition of Transportation, Logistics and Related Industries dubbed “Iran Trans Expo 2023”, Shahriar Afandizadeh said the exhibition with the motto of “Smart Transportation, Transit and Economic Development" would pave the way for industrialists, producers and manufacturers to learn about the latest achievements of the transportation industry.

The exhibition will be held with the participation of 316 public and private sector companies and more than 85 knowledge-based and startup companies as well as representatives of foreign companies in the field of transportation, the deputy roads minister added.

Transportation plays an important role in international exchanges, Afandizadeh noted, adding that the exhibition is an event to get more familiarity with the latest research achievements and the world’s most modern technologies in the transportation industry, IRNA reported.

A specialized panel of discussion will be held by the transport officials of the country in different sea, rail, air and road sections at the expo, he continued.

He pointed to the high capacities of Iran in the transportation industry and emphasized that the country is a transit crossroads that can improve its role in the region due to its strategic situation and high transit capacities.

The exhibition will be inaugurated in Tehran on December 18 and run through December 20.
