7th Intl. Conference on ‘Climate Change’ to Kick Off in Tehran Monday

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 7th International Conference on Climate Change will begin at the venue of the Iran National Library in Tehran on Monday, the executive secretary of the conference announced.

The two-day event will be held with the participation of a number of ministers and members of the Cabinet, Behzad Layeghi stated. 

Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Head of Iranian Meteorological Organization (IMO) Sahar Tajbakhsh will address the conference.

The deputy head of the IMO for National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Center said that this conference is a prestigious periodic event in the region and will be held on the main topic of ‘climate change and its consequences’.

Panel and discussions and specialized meetings on the topics of "climate changes and social resilience", "monitoring subsidence using radar remote sensing", "policies, laws and perspectives related to climate change at the national and international levels", "Carbon Footprint at Healthcare Centers" and "Spatial Artificial Intelligence (AI), an Approach to Assess the Effects of Climate Change on Human Health" will be held on the sidelines of the conference, IRNA reported.
