Iran, Burkina Faso Discuss Expanding Ties in Economic, Scientific, Cultural Fields

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Officials from Iran and Burkina Faso discussed the expansion of cooperation in the fields of economy, science, culture and technology.

Iran’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso Mojtaba Faqihi in a meeting with Foreign Minister of the African country Jean Marie Traore Karamoko called for following up on the documents inked at the first meeting of the Iran-Burkina Faso Joint Economic Cooperation Commission.

The two sides exchanged views on the expansion of bilateral ties in trade and economic fields and also the participation of this African country in the Iran Expo 2024.

The foreign minister of Burkina Faso noted that the trade and economic ties between Tehran and Ouagadougou are on the growth trajectory.

In the meeting, it was agreed that the foreign ministries of the two countries should oblige the pertinent organizations to pursue the documents inked at the first joint economic, scientific, cultural and technological commission.

Iran and Burkina Faso have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and eight cooperation documents in the fields of economy, construction and exports.
