Milad Taghavi New President of Iran Volleyball Federation

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Milad Taghavi was elected as the new head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) on Saturday.

He will be head of the Federation for a four-year term till 2028.

In the elections, held at Iran’s Olympic Academy in Tehran, Taghavi won 61 of 67 votes cast.

Mahmoud Afshardoost finished in second place with six votes.

Taghavi, who has been working as the federation’s secretary general since July 2020, replaced Mohammadreza Davarzani in the role.

Also, Vahid Moradi and Fariba Mohammadian were elected as the federation’s vice presidents.
