Report: Iran Building 5 Hospitals in Pakistan’s Flood-Hit Areas

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran is constructing five hospitals in flood-affected areas of Pakistan's Sindh province, Pakistani media reports said.

Four hospitals are under construction and one of them has been already become operational, The Express Tribune reported on Thursday.

The now-functional 40-bed facility located in Khairpur city has been named ‘Kausar Hospital’. The remaining four hospitals, located in Badin, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad and Thatta are under construction, the report added.

“This action of the Iranian government will improve relations between the people of Sindh and Iran,” said health minister Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar.

Flash floods, triggered by monsoon rainfall, killed hundreds of people across Pakistan particularly in southern Sindh province.
