Afghan President Hamid Karzai Arrives in India on 4-Day Visit
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Afghan President Hamid Karzai arrived in the Indian capital on Thursday on a four-day visit to the neighboring country.
He was received by Minister of State for Home Affairs RPN Singh.
Karzai is to meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Friday and leaves for Pune Saturday where he is to attend a joint Business Interaction and Sunday address the Symbiosis International University, Zee News reported.
The Afghan president's lecture in the 5th Hiren Mukherjee Memorial Annual Parliamentary Lecture in the Central Hall of Parliament on the topic 'Afghanistan's Experience in Constitutionalism and Democracy: Lessons We Take From India' was cancelled apprehending low attendance by MPs.
