Lebanese Hezbollah Calls on Palestinians to Resist Israeli Plots

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Lebanese Hezbollah Islamic Resistance Movement called on Palestinians to continue resisting Israel’s aggressive plots, warning that the Tel Aviv regime is planning to destroy the al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Lebanese resistance movement issued a statement on Wednesday and responded to the recent clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian protesters in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Hezbollah hailed the Palestinians for resisting against the Israeli aggression and warned that Israel is planning to terrorize Palestinian people and Judaize the holy city of al-Quds (Jerusalem).

It also said that the Israeli regime is trying to exploit the political conditions in the region to implement its project of demolishing the al-Aqsa Mosque, Press TV reported.

The Lebanese movement also called for a new campaign in solidarity with the Palestinian people, urging all Arab and Muslim nations to make Palestine their main cause.

The statement came after Israeli forces stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday, injuring at least 20 Palestinians and abducting several others.

Palestinian protesters had been staying in the mosque since Monday night after hearing reports that settlers were planning to attack the mosque.

In recent months, Israeli forces and settlers have stepped up their attacks on the mosque, the third holiest site in Islam. This has led to violent confrontations between the two sides.
