Iran’s Faghani Picked as World Cup Opener Fourth Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Alireza Faghani has been chosen as the fourth official for the opening match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup between Brazil and Croatia on Thursday 12 June.
Iranian support duos Alireza Faghani and Hassan Kamranifar have been chosen by FIFA's referees committee to participate in the prestigious tournament.
The Iranian duo officiated at the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup held in Morocco.
Yuichi Nishimura has been assigned as the referee for the opening match.
The Japanese will be assisted by his compatriots Toru Sagara and Toshiyuki Nagi.
