World Cup 2014: US Defeats Ghana 2-1
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - US football team defeated Ghana 2-1 in Group G of the 2014 FIFA World Cup at the Arena das Dunas in Natal on Tuesday.
US coach Jurgen Klinsmann celebrated his 50th game in charge with the victory.
US striker Clint Dempsey scored after 32 seconds. Andre Ayew equalized the match in the 82nd minute and with four minutes remaining John Brooks scored winner for the US football team.
"We are all excited. We are really, really excited. We worked hard for it, a month in camp, we had a set of games, we had endless scrimmages and we did very well," Jurgen Klinsmann said.
"We are full of confidence. It's going to be a challenge but we are excited,” Klinsmann added in the post match news conference.
