Afghan Cultural Attaché Praises Iran Leader's Poetic Attitude

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Afghanistan’s cultural attaché in Tehran praised the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s attitude toward poetry expressing the hope that such an approach become pervasive in the region.

Mohammad Afsar Rahbin hailed Imam Khamenei’s stance on poetry as influential in Muslim world’s cultural arena, mentioning that his approach highlights the geographical background of the Persian language.

The Afghan envoy had on Sunday attended a ceremony during which Imam Khamenei had received a group of Persian language and literature professors and poets from Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and India.

“It is a pleasure for the Persian language poets to meet the Leader of Islamic Revolution. Gathering Persian language poets here can demonstrate the rich cultural background of the Persian language and a linguistic realm which was separated by geographical borders,” Mohammad Afsar Rahbin told Tasnim News Agency.
