Behdad Salimi Named Iran's Flag-Bearer for Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Weightlifter Behdad Salimi will lead Iranian delegation as the flag-bearer during the opening parade of the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, slated for September.
The 2012 Olympic gold medalist has been chosen by the Iranian National Olympic Committee as the flag-bearer of the delegation.
Iran’s super heavyweights Salimi won the gold medal by hoisting 455 kg in total in the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The 2014 Asian Games will be held in Incheon, South Korea, from September 19 to October 4.
