Asian Women's U-23 Volleyball Championship: Iran to Play Philippines for 7th Place
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran lost to India 3-2 (22–25, 25–16, 19–25, 25–20, 15–9) in the Asian Women's U-23 Volleyball Championship on Friday.
The Iranian team will take on the Philippines on Saturday in the classification match for the 7th to 8th places.
Iran started the campaign with a 3-1 victory over host Philippines.
It’s the inaugural edition of the tournament and serves as the Asian qualifiers for the 2015 FIVB Women's U-23 Volleyball World Championship which will be held in Ankara, Turkey with the top two teams qualifying for the world championship.
