In their Tuesday night meeting, Zarif blamed the ongoing problems of regional countries on Israel’s policy of stirring rift in the Middle East as well as the extremist attitudes of terrorist groups.

He went on to say that dialog and diplomacy can resolve such issues and guide the region towards security, peace, and unity among all political strata.

Zarif also referred to the ongoing problems in Lebanon, and expressed the hope that they can be resolved through collective wisdom and logic.

Nasrallah, for his part, highlighted the efforts made by the Resistance movement to eliminate the dangers threatening the regional nations.

“The Resistance (movement) intends to protect Lebanon and the region from the main threats posed by enemies,” he noted, adding that the enemy is trying to undermine the solidarity, security, and infrastructures of humanity in the region.

The Hezbollah chief also congratulated Zarif on Iran’s achievements in recent conclusion of nuclear talks, saying that the outcomes and achievements of such events are "positive and constructive for Lebanon and the region."

The meeting was also attended by Iran’s Ambassador to Beirut Mohammad Fathali and Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
