Zob Ahan Beats Esteghlal in Iran Professional League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Zob Ahan of Isfahan defeated Esteghlal of Tehran 2-0 in Iran Professional League (IPL) in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Friday.
It was Zob Ahan’s first victory after three weeks and Esteghlal’s first defeat after three weeks.
Ehsan Pahlavan and Morteza Tabrizi scored respectively in the 63rd and 85th minutes.
“We showed a good performance in the first half but our strikers missed their chances. The two individual mistakes we made today,” Esteghlal coach Parviz Mazloomi said.
Elsewhere, Tractor Sazi of Tabriz drew 1-1 with Rah Ahan, Esteghlal Khuzestan beat Foolad 2-0 in Ahvaz derby and Saipa defeated Padideh of Mashhad 2-1.
