Iran’s Mehrabi Wins Bronze at Asian Confederation Boxing Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sajad Mehrabi from Iran claimed a bronze medal on Friday at the 2015 ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships in Thailand.
Mehrabi lost to Uzbekistan’s Bektemir Melikuziev in the 75-kilogram weight category.
He had already booked a ticket for AIBA World Championships.
The ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships started in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 26 and will wrap on September 5.
AIBA World Championships will be held in Doha, Qatar, from October 5 to 15. The Doha games will serves as a qualifying tournament to the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
